Doug Burgess
Giving Elder (oversees contributor development, helping hands, and hospitality)
Doug Burgess placed his faith in Jesus Christ when he was 13 while attending an old-fashioned camp meeting. He had been raised in the church and had good head knowledge of who Christ was and that evening as the evangelist preached he knew it was time to ask Jesus into his heart as his Lord and Savior. He has walked with Him every step since that moment. Doug describes his walk with the Lord as a daily adventure with Jesus constantly rescuing him from the enemy through His teaching, reproof, and love.
Doug is an Incident Response Team Lead with the Health Resources & Services Administration. He has been married to Marie for 15 years and they have two girls, Elizabeth and Haley.
Doug and Marie have been members of Harvest Pointe since May 2008 serving with the Helping Hands Ministry and Children’s Ministry. Doug desires to see increased participation by the people of Harvest Pointe in all areas and to build excitement about Christ and serving Him.
