Gary Shepard
Business Administrator
Gary began his relationship with Christ as a 9 year old while attending a revival with family friends in Jacksonville, North Carolina. At 17, Gary rededicated his life to Christ while singing with a touring group of high school kids from his church. He was discipled by the youth pastor of that church and finally began to understand what being a Christian really meant. In the middle of Gary’s senior year of high school, he moved to Michigan where he met his wife Susan. They were married in 1984 and have three children, Will, Drew and Katie. Their oldest son, Will, was married to Blair in 2007 and is expecting twins, a boy and a girl, in December.
Gary’s first experience in church administration was in the Air Force where Gary served as a Chapel Management Specialist. Since leaving the Air Force in 2001 Gary has completed his management degree from Shepherd University and a master’s degree in strategic leadership from Mountain State University. He has worked for large and small companies in various management roles including work at another church as a business administrator.
Gary and Sue have been at Harvest Pointe since 2001 serving in a variety of capacities. Gary looks forward to serving the congregation for the years to come as the business administrator. He welcomes visits and communication with those who attend Harvest Pointe and is excited to serve each of you faithfully while glorifying God in the process.
