Living on Mission in Your Neighborhood!

The fall is in full swing and we are experiencing some exciting times here at Harvest Pointe.  So far this year we have been focusing on a solid kick-off of our church-wide goal: That as disciples of Jesus Christ, we will strive to passionately serve in good deeds and share the good news so there is much joy in Jefferson County.  We have seen a renewed interest in the people of the church getting out in the community to meet the needs of the least among us and are looking forward to hearing some great testimonies in the coming months from those who have received grants from the church.

Every day, we have an opportunity to live on mission for Jesus Christ with our neighbors.  Although, sometimes we look to the house to the right and the one to the left and can't figure out how to serve them and share with them the most important thing in our lives.  With that in mind, I wanted to share a couple of links to articles with ideas on how to live missionally.  Each post contains 25 suggestions of things to do that will help you build relationships with those in your neighborhood. I highly encourage you to check them out below if you haven’t already!

So, has anyone ever done one of these ideas on the lists? If so, we’d love for you to share your story in a comment below, for we believe that stories are a great way to stir up one another to love and good works (Hebrews 10:24).

Also if you haven’t done one of these things before, are there any ideas that you feel like God has laid on your heart? How can you apply those to your personal life and/or church? Please share in a comment below!
